Areas of Research Interests

Neuromodulation, implantable neural electrodes and neural interfaces, implantable brain-machine interface, active implantable medical devices and their magnetic resonance compatibility, electrical stimulation therapy for neurological and neuropsychiatric diseases.

Brief description

His research focuses in the field of neuromodulation. As a major researcher, he participated the development of Tsinghua brain pacemaker. He developed the neural electrodes for long-term human brain implantation, won the first prize of the 2018 National Science and Technology Progress Award. He developed the key technology of the 3T magnetic resonance compatible brain pacemaker, which was selected for the National "13th Five Year Plan" Science and Technology Innovation Achievement Exhibition. He published over 20 SCI papers, was granted with more than 20 patents, and served as the project leader of the "14th Five Year Plan" National Key R&D Program as well as other projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
